Day 2 Berezovaya roscha(Birch grove) – Payron lakes

Hike to the second Payron Lake (take 3-4 hour). Payron lakes is located at an altitude of 2200 m above sea level. It appeared as a result of a blockage, but the water is filtered through a stone dam, forming several small waterfalls. The water in the lake is cold. The left bank of the lake is inaccessible, as the slopes of the mountain drop steeply into the water. The trail runs along the right bank.

Overnight in tent

Day 3

Payron lakes – Timurdara lakes — Dushanbe

D escent back down the  Hakimi, last village in Karatag gorge  through Lake Timurdara.  Lake Timur-Dara — of dammed origin — is located an hour’s walk from the Karatag River, at an altitude of 1970 m above sea level. The path leading to the lake starts from a small river of the same name Timur-Dara, which flows from the lake and flows into the Karatag River. The lake itself is located among wooded slopes. The water there is bright blue. One of the shores is covered with coarse granite sand and can serve as an excellent beach.
