Day Itinerary
Day 1

 

  Arrival in Dushanbe. Today full day rest. The guide available during the day. Welcome diner.

Day 2

 

 

Dushanbe city tour and Hissar fortress

After having breakfast meeting on the lobby   and drive visit to the Gissar fortress, the remains of the Bukhara Emirate Beck’s palace. Its thick walls once guarded a pool, garden, and palace, while the fortress itself opposed a noisy market and caravanserai. What remains today is a piece of wall and gate towers which represent the 18th and 19th century style. The place is famous for its center of commerce during Silk Road.  You will also be able to visit the Old Medressa (MadrasaiKuhna) of 16-17th century with a museum inside, the new Medressa of 17-18 century as well as Caravan Saray.  Drive from Gissar back to Dushanbe where you will be able to visit the Tajik National Museum with the Tajik pride- the biggest Buddha in Nirvana Dushanbe, which means “Monday” in Tajik, developed on the site of a Monday marketplace village “Dushanbe-Bozor”. During the Soviet time, the city became the most important center of production in Tajikistan, but the Shohmansur covered market reflects Dushanbe’s historical ties to the local trade. Dushanbe impresses with its tree lined streets and building outlining the Soviet Architectural style of 60th. Enjoy walking around the monument of IsmoiliSomoni-the forefather of Tajik nation, which is situated in the main square.

Day 3

 

Dushanbe – Anzob pass – Lake Iskanderkul -Lake Allaundin

rive from Dushanbe to Iskanderkul Lake. Drive will take 3-4 h. over Anzob tunnel and along Fon-Dariye river. This lake named of the name of Alexander the Great allocated on South part of Fann mountains. After lunch continue to the camp «Vertical» in Allautdin lakes. Allaudin lakes are a pearl of Fan mountains. The changing colour scale of these lakes will not leave indifferent any person. The vegetation located round lakes supplements color of these pearls. Lakes are located at height of 2780 m in a mountain valley of the river Chapdara. Driving time 7-8 h. Overnight in  tents

 

 

 

 

Day 4

 

Lake Allaundin- Mutnoe lake — back to camp

After having breakfast today you will have radial (acclimatization)  hike from Allaundin lake up to the valley till the lake Mutnoe. From lakes Allaudin tourists usually make an one-day radial exit to Mutniy lakes by passing small lake Piala on which coast it is possible to have a rest and fill up stocks of pure and cool water. In 2 — 3 hours of a way the track will lead you to the most high-mountainous lake Mutniy, 3600 metres located at height.  From lake Mutnoe you can see grandiose and majestic tops of the Fan mountains, which height over 5000 metres and highest of them — Chimtarga (5480 m.) pick. Hiking time 6-7 h

Day 5

 

Lake Allaundin -Laudan pass- Kulikalon lakes

At the morning start clime  to the pass Laudand, the trial goes over juniper pine trees  forests amazing view from  pass Laudan (3623 m.) witch connect these lakes with a valley of Allaudin lakes. Lakes are located at height of 2800 m., round lakes grow wild fur-trees, giving to Kulikalon  lakes an original cosines and a microclimate. The fish has been deduced here by an artificial way in 1956. The basic and main sight of Kulikalon valley is is the majestic Kulikalon rock wall stretched by a huge wall in the south of a valley from the east on the west. On a wall there are three basic peaks: Adamtash, Mirali and Maria. Hiking time 7-8 h

Kulikalon lakes- Chukurak pass — Lake Chukurak

After having breakfast today the group will do hike to the lake Chukurak, the lake located at height of 2455 m. lies through pass Chukurak (3060 m.), ascent on which from Kulikalon lakes will take no more than 3-4 h. At the same time descent to lake Chukurak will take 1,5 — 2 hours through the picturesque gorge covered with wild fur-trees woods. Lakes are located in small gorge where you can stay for the night. On the bank of the second blue lake for this purpose there are small platforms. From lake Chukurak two trials  go down to the camp «Artuch» and upward — to pass Guitan (2600 m.). Hiking time 6-7 h

Day 7

 

 

 

Lake Chukurak- Guitan pass- Archamaydon valley

The trail  to Guitan pass (2600 m.) from the lake of Chukurak begins with the small gorge located directly over lake, and further conducts traversing a slope covered with wild pine trees . Along the way to pass there are shepherds stays where it is possible to get familiar with life and originality of local shepherds. Further the way lies through pass to settlements Guitan and Zimtud. Here it is possible to see where and how  lives local Tajik mountain people, then continue walk along the Archamaydon gorge.  Hiking time 6-7 h. Overnight in  tents

Archamaydon valley- Pushtikul gorge

The Archamaydon gorge, is very rather interesting gorge in respect of historical sites at Tajikistan. The gorge was a link between the South and the North of Tajikistan and if is more exact, was a caravan track part between Penjikent and Hissar valleys. The caravan track conducted through passes Dukdon(3800 m.) and Akbashir (4200 m.) to the lake of Iskanderkul. Rich with ancient mines where extracted ochre, antimony, mercury. To this day along a track find stones on which have left the inscriptions ancient caravans. On the way the group pass village Gazza and several summers shepherd villages. Day 9

 

 

Pushtikul gorge- Pushtikul lake (top of Pushtikul pass)

Today the group will do radial hike along the gorge to the lake Pushtiluk. The trail goes in the beautiful and narrow gorge.  The gorge upper course comes to an end with the Alpine meadows on which in summer time sheep are grazed. Today also possible to climb on the top pass Pushtikul Western (4060 m.), from the top amazing view of Suoth slops of the range.

Day 10

 

Pushtikul — Munora pass — Sarimat gorge

After having breakfast  we will start to walk along the gorge to the top of Munara pass (3550 m). There is a legend that once Alexander the Great has passed through this pass to the huge lake located among mountains more low on gorge and then this gorge has found the name — Iskanderkul. In connection with this legend scientists had been undertook archaeological expedition of 1954 on purpose to find any proof of Alexandr the Great transition. After the pass crossing finally we will reach the tent camp in the Sarimat gorge. Hiking time 7-8 h.     Overnight in  tents,  Meal

Day 11

 

Sarimat gorge- Tavasang pass- Khazorchashma lake

Pass Tavasang (3307 m.) is located in a middle part of Sarimat gorge. In the bottom part of pass there is an in significant vegetation from deciduous and wild  pine trees, but basically, pass without any vegetation. If will have luck, directly on a track it is possible to find ancient minerals in the form of fossilized cockleshells, which around 23 million years. Descent from pass will lead you to the seventh lake Marguzor valley — lake Khazorchashma, most beautiful and clean lake in this valley. Hiking time 7-8 h

Day 12

 

Khazorchashma lake-Zeravshan valley —  Dushanbe

Today vehicles pick up the group and drive to the Dushanbe Driving time 7-8 h.

Overnight in hotel, today will be organized farewell dinner.
